even though i thought i was gonna die

even though the stage set was kinda boring. they just played around with the lights and those smoke machines and a fan behind matt such that when he was at the mic stand, his hair is always blowing ala those model shoots. it must've been a bonus to matt too cos it kept him cool.
but then again, their intention of having it there might just be to keep him cool and the hair effects were secondary. haha!

even though they played less than 90 min including the 10 min they were off stage and the encore (when it was supposed to be a 2-hr gig)

all these didn't matter when they played.

when they played, it was magic.

when they played, everything was right.

waahh so drama! haha.. but it's true. i hardly exaggerate.

ok this is nothing related but i took my first ever london cab ride on tuesday! wooooo

ok back to MUSE.
Thank God for zaini (az's and y's friend) for coming to queue at 2 plus and thank god for zaini's friend (who got off from work saying it was his grandmother's birthday! haha!) for coming at 1 plus.
cos without them, we'll be somewhere at the back with a not so good view. but a lot more space i'm sure.
syai actually suggested meeting at 1 but nobody else wanted to. haha!
looking fresh before everything

so yeah.. we met at 3 to makan. bought some drinks. and finally headed over where the queue was already damn freaking long can!
the wait was darn long and quite boring. should've brought cards or smthg.

finally, at around 7, they opened the entrance! woooo!
there were a lot of pple who cut the queue lorr..
but i shouldn't complain. heh.

ok this is when we still had space.

what happened after was totally out of this world.
the crowd went crazy just pushing and pushing even BEFORE anything started!
it got super squeezy.
so squeezy i didnt even have to use my legs to stand properly. i just leaned on someone. haha!
and then there was a sudden surge from the left and everybody up front just got pushed to the right. it was like some domino thing with nobody falling but rather, leaning on one another. haha!
that started it all.
suddenly, we were moving left and right.
and on top of that, the people at the back kept on pushing forwards.
my legs got stepped on countless times!
everybody just got displaced!

at first i was standing beside rozzie.
syai was with y.
az was with zaini & friend.

suddenly rozzie was behind me.
(this was when i could actually turn back my head to look. after that, i pretty much couldnt move my body voluntarily. haha. i could just turn my head left and right and occasionally move my legs)

then i lost rozzie but syai was beside me.
y was just out of it.

after a while, i saw rozzie on the other side of syai.

remember when i said it got super squeezy?
i didn't know yet what that meant.
what happened after, now THAT's super squeezy!

guys and girls alike were being pulled out by the stage hands cos they couldn't stand being pressed up against the metal railings.

i was squashed so hard and the crowd was moving ard so much that i thought to myself, if i fell, i would've died!
it was insanely hard to find proper footing cos everybody's legs were all over the place!
that's when i decided to just lift my knees a little.
and guess what?
it was soo jam-packed that i didn't even fall.
i was just hovering around with the crowd! haha!
it was an out of this world experience sia.

did i mention that all these happened before MUSE even stepped on stage?

suddenly there was an even bigger surge and the crowd went crazy and i heard it.
the opening music and riffs to Knights of Cydonia
woooooo!
heard it rather than see it cos i only caught glimpses of the stage at that point.
i got stuck behind some giants so i couldn't really see.
but that didn't matter. hearing them was enough!
woooooo!

i must've moved around a bit more after that cos before i know it, i was beside az!
we held a death grip on each other so that we'd stay together.

after Knights of Cydonia, az said she couldnt take it any longer and she wanted to leave the mosh pit. i turned to my left and i was like, "how???"
we just stuck it out and i can't remember when exactly it got better but it was all suuuppppeeeeerrrrbbb man!
i've heard that MUSE was one of the best live bands in the world and they certainly lived up to it.
uh huh.. i was that close! wooo!
this is when i start to whine abt not bringing my camera. i didnt wanna risk it. but sooooo many pple got through with theirs lah. i'm insanely jealous. hmmmf.

halfway through, they released super huuuge balloons filled with confetti ala coldplay's gig last yr.
whoooaaa so fun lah! even though i didnt get to touch it. haha.. it came near but as y said, steam kering. haha!
and then dominic said, "we won't play the next song till you burst all the balloons."
i think it was dominic. don't think it was matt cos he was pretty quiet.
what a teaser. haha..
he then proceeded to play some drum beats while everyone tried to pop all of them balloons.
right at the moment the last balloon popped, they went into the next song. wooooo! shweeeet!

all too soon, it ended.
even though it was short, it was gooooood.
i was on a high and drenched with sweat with feet that looked like a cavewoman's cos it was dirrrty! hahaha..

oh did i mention that rozzie lost her slippers? hahaha
she went to look for it later but only found one side. she found the other side of another slipper and she just took it. haha!

i'm still having withdrawals now. i hope they come by again soooon! i would STARVE for them ok. oh i forgot to mention that syai saw his cousin from m'sia who came down just to see MUSE. whooooaaa... hardcore sia. if only i had money to fly to the uk for their rocking concerts. siiigh..

and i also forgot to mention..
that my shades is the shiznit! heehee.. everybody wants a piece of it!
