was supposed to go for macbeth but at the last minute rab couldn't make it cos her hamster's sick n she has to send it to the vet n it has to go for an operation! and nobody loves me anymore cos everyone i asked was either too busy or had something on! boooo..
was contemplating hanging out with az but then i changed out of my clothes redi n was too lazy to get out redi. hehehe.. so here i am with all my untouched notes n tutes in a stack beside me but what do i go and do?? fucking go online and waste my time. hehe.. oh well.. so i guess i'll blog abt my week(less than a week actually) in aussie! =)
it was a blast!!
it was super duper cold at melbourne and people said that it was gonna be colder in tazzy but they bluffed us! it wasn't! the weather was cold but bearable..
unlike melbourne which was coooold (although jordan was showing off that it was actually warm in melb now.)!
the city wasn't that bad.. but our resort was super cold! maybe it's the fact that it's a suburban area.. or maybe it was the fact that the bloody place had NO i repeat NO heater!
wth rite wth!!
there was an air con but who the bloody hell needs an air con! oh wait what am i talking about?? there was a heater.. no 2 in fact! but guess where they were placed?? in the bloody toilet!! wow! a lot of help that is! and there were just like light bulbs. haha.. at times i had to go to the toilet n stretch my hand out in the air to warm them up! hahaha..
but thank God our blankets had warmers.
oh and there were kangaroos riiite outside our doors in the morning! how cool is that??
and i discovered a funny habit of mine while i was there.. everytime we drive past some cows i'll go, "fat cows!" followed by a "moooooooo.." or if we pass by some sheep i'll go, "fat sheep!.. or if there were horses i'll go, "horsey worsey!" *smile* i'm weird...
ok so anyway, reached melbourne on sunday morning. met fay n her fiancee at the airport n they sent us to the city while mom n dad drove up to the resort to check in. nice nice people they were.. dropped us off at melbourne central where we met up with darling ROLY!! n JORDAN!!
we went into the shopping mall where roly brought us to this shop that sells kinda cheap clothing but it was too early for me to shop so i just looked around. didn't buy anythg at all can you believe that?? met jordan after that n diana was hungry(no surprises here) n we had lunch. didn't really enjoy that but the company was great so it was superb! hehe..
walked around after that n had gelato (yummy yum yum!). walked damn far lah! we had to take a tram back to the inner city and we didn't pay for it! yayy! hahaha.. met mom n dad n roly's friend there.. went grocery shopping n had dinner. the day passed seriously waaaay too fast! =(
we went to see the 12 apostles on monday! yayy! am glad we made it there cos we all woke up late n left late. hehe.. reached there rite before sunset(which was at around 530!!). am happy happy that we got to see it. it was simply GORGEOUS!!! the view was breathtaking.. n there was this crazy american student who actually climbed over the fence and went somewhere riiiite near the edge of the cliff n laid down there.. so brave for wat? it was bloody cold n windy n he was in bermudas n sandals! respect sia..hahaha.. ok anyway, we didn't get to go there the last time round. we got as far as torquay beach only. heh.. oh but we didn't get to see the london bridge! it was waaaaaaay too dark when we reached there.
when we reached our resort, there was a small racoon-like animal that kinda terrorised us! hahaha.. the girls all screamed and ran in n my dad was laughing his ass off. we left the door open but the gate closed n it came rite up to the door n stood up as if wanting to come in. so scary! i am a coward, yes i noe.. hehe.. it even climbed the window to look in and tried to look for a hole through the gate to get in! so scary for wat?? later we learnt that it was a possum and we were supposed to leave food outside at night to lure them to our resorts so that we can see them! hahahahhaha.. oh well.
tue morning we left for hobart, tasmania! it was niiiiice.. very peaceful and the surroundings were picturesque! there was nothing much to do there really.. we juz drove around the city where there were many many nice houses n buildings. n had lunch at the wharf where there were many many seagulls terrorising us for some food. heh..
the next day was more eventful. heh.. we drove up to mt wellington where the view was superb! n it was super duper wuper windy that i couldnt even walk straight! serious! i am not exaggerating! everytime i lift my leg to take a step it gets pushed in the direction of the wind! hahaha..
drove down to huon after that where we went to the tahune airwalk. nice sceneries but nothing superb. didn't have time to go to hastings caves n thermal pool cos the last tour was at 3! booo for that! but it's ok.. i figured all caves look kinda the same n we alredi went to genolan caves the last time round so yah. heh..
the last day, we went to the CADBURY CHOCOLATE FACTORY! ooooooohhh...
couldn't take any photographs there tho.. but it was damn interesting! hama shud migrate there n find a job at the factory cos guess wat?? the workers there get to eat any amount of chocolate they like! hehe.. we had to wear a hair net sorta thing n those with any stubble had to put on a mask. so cute for wat?? haha..
then we went to see a blowhole and some tazzy devils at port arthur! apparently, they're only found in tazzy but i distinctly remember seeing some at some island near perth! hahahhahha.. oh well.. tazzy devils have bloody strong jaws n teeth! they eat their prey WHOLE! from the flesh to the guts to the skin to the fur to the bones! can hear them crunching the bones while they ate. so freaky!!
noe wat i realised?? all those times i went to aussie, i haven't seen a single platypus. maybe i have in one of the zoos or smthg but not in the wild. weird..
the last day was spent doing whatever shopping we could at the city after we went to see some hanging rocks thingy.. so there really wasnt any time to go shopping other than those FEW minutes cos by the time we walked there, we were we only had a few minutes before we had to leave for the airport! hahahaha.. oh well..
and now i'm back! heh.. back to boring ol singapore.. humid ol singapore.. back to school.. back to sleepless nites.. back to early mornings.. bleargh!! why do i do this to myself?
